A rose simple syrup recipe made from dried rose petals, water, and granulated sugar.

Ingredients

220 milliliters water (1 cup)
3 tablespoons culinary grade dried rose petals
300 grams granulated sugar (1 1/2 cups)

Instructions

In a small saucepan, combine the water and dried rose petals.

Bring to a boil, then stir in the granulated sugar and allow it to dissolve.

Simmer over low heat for 10 minutes.

Remove from heat. Allow petals to steep in the syrup for one hour, or until completely cool.

Use a fine mesh strainer to remove the petals.

Use rose simple syrup as desired. Store leftover syrup in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three weeks.
