Homemade Hot Cocoa Mix

An easy homemade hot cocoa mix recipe. Made with just four ingredients, this DIY hot chocolate mix comes together in a matter of minutes.

Ingredients

130 grams confectioner’s sugar (1 cup)
50 grams unsweeted cocoa powder (1/2 cup)
1 teaspoon cornstarch
80 grams dry milk powder (1 cup)

To serve:

Hot water or milk, mini marshmallows, shaved dark chocolate, whipped cream (or coconut whipped cream)


Instructions

In a medium bowl, sift the confectioner’s sugar, cocoa powder, and cornstarch.

Discard any lumps or hard bits of sugar.

Whisk in the dry milk powder.

Transfer to an airtight container or large Ziploc bag. Store at room temperature for up to six months.

 To serve:

 Place 3 tablespoons homemade hot cocoa mix in the bottom of a mug.

Add 180 milliliters (6 fluid ounces) boiling water or milk.

Stir to combine.

Top with marshmallows, shaved chocolate, or whipped cream.
