Made with white chocolate chips and vanilla bean paste, this easy vanilla mug cake recipe comes together in under 10 minutes, no oven required. It’s like a birthday cake in a mug!

Ingredients

30 grams self-rising flour (3 tablespoons)
25 grams granulated sugar (2 tablespoons)
Pinch fine sea salt
1 egg
45 milliliters whole milk (3 tablespoons)
15 grams unsalted butter, melted (1 tablespoon)
1/2 teaspoon vanilla bean paste
30 grams white chocolate chips (2 tablespoons), plus more to garnish
Rainbow sprinkles, to decorate

Instructions

In a large mug, whisk together the flour, sugar, and sea salt.

Whisk in the egg, followed by the milk, melted butter, and vanilla bean paste.

Stir in the white chocolate chips.

Microwave on high for 60 seconds. If necessary, continue microwaving in 15-second increments, until cake is puffy and just barely set. (Do not overcook.) Garnish with rainbow sprinkles and additional white chocolate chips. Serve immediately.
