Recipe by becky
Red, white, and blue 4th of July fruit skewers featuring strawberries, blueberries, watermelon, and homemade star shaped marshmallows.
Fresh watermelon, sliced into 1/2-inch thick slices
Fresh blueberries
Fresh strawberries, hulled and halved
Homemade star-shaped marshmallows
10-inch wooden skewers, for assembly
Edible glitter and edible foil stars, to decorate
With a 1- or 1 1/2-inch star cutter, cut the watermelon slices into stars.

Thread fruit, berries, and marshmallows onto 10-inch wooden skewers, allowing 1 1/2- to 2 inches of space at the bottom of each skewer.

Dust with edible glitter and edible foil stars.

Serve immediately.

You can make as many skewers as you’d like, adding the fruit and marshmallows in any order you choose. I made each of my skewers in a different pattern.
As shown here, I used 12 star marshmallows, 8 large strawberries, 3 5-inch watermelon slices, and about 50 blueberries to make a total of 8 10-inch skewers.
