An easy cardamom tea recipe made by simmering black tea, cardamom pods, cinnamon sticks, and other spices in a small pan on the stovetop.
300 milliliters water (1 1/4 cups)
1 2-inch cinnamon stick
1 1-inch piece fresh ginger, peeled and thinly sliced
3 whole cardamom pods
2 whole cloves
1 black tea bag
1 teaspoon honey, or to taste
Whole milk or plant milk, optional, to taste
Add water, cinnamon stick, sliced ginger, cardamom pods, and whole cloves to a small saucepan.

Bring to a low boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer 2 minutes. Remove from heat.

Add the black tea bag and allow to steep 2-3 minutes, or as desired.*

Pass through a fine mesh strainer to remove the tea bag and spices.

Pour into a mug. Stir in honey and milk, if using. Taste and adjust, adding more milk or sweetener as desired.

Serve immediately.

*You can adjust the steeping time depending on your preferred strength. I enjoy a stronger black tea, and usually steep mine for about 3-4 minutes.
