Crisp and crumble recipes are my go-tos whenever I need an easy-to-make fruit dessert. Prepared casserole-style, these simple recipes showcase the best produce of the season in a dish which works just as well for breakfast as it does for dessert.
Crisps, crumbles, and cobblers all start with a base consisting of fruits like apples, peaches, or berries, mixed with other ingredients such as sugar and spices. After sprinkling the fruit with a crispy, crumbly topping, the crisp bakes in the oven until bubbly and golden brown.
Crisps and crumbles are best served warm, and even better when accompanied by a big scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream on top!
