Whoopie pie recipes are some of my favorites to develop. As a born-and-raised Central Pennsylvanian, I’ve always loved to bake (and eat!) whoopie pies. Featuring two soft cakes with a cream filling sandwiched in between, these classic PA Dutch treats allow plenty of room for interpretation, from traditional chocolate-and-vanilla to novelty flavors like watermelon and banana chocolate chip.
