When it comes to seasonal treats, coming up with creative recipes for Valentine’s Day ranks near the top of my list. I love thinking of new ways to utilize the classic pink, red, and white color scheme, and the flavors—like chocolate, strawberry, raspberry, and sparkling wine—lend themselves perfectly to crafting sweet treats. The traditional shapes, such as hearts, lips, flowers, and balloons, also offer endless inspiration, and the holiday-specific ingredients—candy hearts, Valentine’s Day sprinkles—always put me in the mood to create.
Below are some of my favorite recipes for Valentine’s Day, including heart-shaped sugar cookies, red wine hot chocolate, raspberry truffles, homemade chocolate covered cherries, strawberry heart marshmallows, and a delightfully sweet strawberry Oreo pie!
